COALITION COMMIT $20,000 FOR RENOVATION DESIGN FOR SILCOCK RESERVE

David Hodgett, State Member for Kilsyth today announced that if elected a Coalition Government will spend $20,000 for a renovation design for Silcock Reserve in Croydon.

Silcock Reserve is home to the Croydon Ranges Soccer Club, the Croydon Ranges Cricket Club and the Croydon and District Dog Obedience Club.

“A Coalition Government will commit $20,000 to funding the master plan design for these new clubroom facilities, with a view to developing these state of the art clubrooms in the near future,” Mr Hodgett said.

Mr Hodgett’s said the funding showed the Coalition’s commitment to supporting local sporting clubs.

“This master plan design is the first step in the vision for fantastic new facilities at Silcock Reserve, and this is very exciting for the tenant clubs,” Mr Hodgett said.

“This project will be a great boost to the Croydon sporting community,” Mr Hodgett said. “The tenant clubs all have hundreds of members, and the new clubroom facilities will give a spacious new complex for these growing clubs.”

“The first step is the design process, and the Coalition is committing this funding as we believe this is a very important local sporting project,” Mr Hodgett said.
